A Leadership Retreat for Pastors, Part Two
Many pastors cite money as a significant source of congregational stress. Of course it is also a source of ministry opportunity! This course, the second of two with leadership coach Margaret Marcuson, is designed for you as clergy to consider what skills and knowledge you need to effectively lead your congregation financially. View the course all at once as a personal retreat or periodically with a circle of chosen colleagues. (Each of the five modules is between four and eleven minutes long.) The simple stories, insights, and questions for reflection will guide you into envisioning a new relationship to money for both you and your congregation.
What you’ll learn:
- Recognize the importance of preaching about money in all church seasons
- Discover how leadership is enhanced by knowing more about individual giving to the church
- Compare and contrast financial statements and approaches to budgeting
- Identify strengths and growth opportunities in asking people to give
